Helga Beaumont has a B.A. H.Ed degree and taught for a number of years. She is happily married and has two beautiful daughters.
She has been an active member of various quilting guilds. Village Quilters Guild, KwaZulu Natal Quilters Guild and the South African Quilters Guild.
Since 2004, she has been involved with Fibreworks, a group dedicated to breaking the fabric art boundaries. This year, 2018, is their 20th year of existence and they have had ten National shows and seven Major Minors exhibitions. These have traveled nationwide and overseas extensively,
Fibreworks had produced 3 catalogues called ‘Major Minors 1, II and IV. Helga also co-ordinates the Fibreworks website – www.fibreworksart.com.
Her work has been featured in several exhibitions nationally and internationally and her work has also sold nationally and internationally.
Helga has taught fabric dyeing over a number of years and is an accredited South African teacher. She has a passion for colour, for life and for nature and this is reflected in her works.
