Born 1976 in Johannesburg, Marcus Neustetter earned his Masters Degree in Fine Arts in 2001 from the University of the Witwatersrand. As an artist and cultural activist, Neustetter’s consistent focus in his art practice has been on the intersections of art, science and technology, ranging from multimedia to site-specific and socially engaged interventions and installation. He has produced large-scale projects and exhibited extensively in Europe, Africa and South and North America. He is the co-director with Stephen Hobbs of the contemporary art production collaboration The Trinity Session innovating in public art, socially engaged practice, and art-business development strategies and projects since 2000.
As one of the bidding partner for ISEA2018 Durban, Marcus Neustetter on behalf of The Trinity Session is the curator and artistic director of the broader ISEA2018 / Digifest05 / IF Durban cultural program.
