Nomusa Mtshali

Nomusa Mtshali is a full-time artist based in Cape Town. She was born in 1986 in Durban, South Africa.

In 2018 she graduated with a Fine Art B-tech from the Durban University of Technology. Mtshali has been a professional in the art industry since 2008 and has worked as a gallery assistant for several prestigious galleries, including SMAC Gallery, Cape Town and KZNSA Gallery, Durban.
In 2017, she was selected as one of the 18 artists to participate in the Thupelo workshop, and in 2016 as one of the 14 artists for the Puncture Points workshop, and 14 artists at OPENLab residency. In 2016 she worked at ART AFRICA magazine, as an administrator, coordinator and client liaison. She has curated several group shows at the BAT Centre in Durban.

Mtshali was invited to exhibit at the FNB Joburg Art Fair 2016 in the Development of Trade and Industry (DTI) stand.

Mtshali is currently a visual art teacher at Walter Teka Primary School in Nyanga, Cape Town.
