The KZNSA Gallery present LAB Talks: Traditional Doll-Making on Thursday 2 August 2018 at 16h00.  


Join us in conversation with Prof. Kate Wells of the Siyazama Project, a project enabling craftswomen from rural KZN to express their concerns about HIV/AIDS through the making of beautiful beaded cloth dolls. She is joined by the Phansi Museum’s Paul Mikula who will delve into on the symbolism and mysticism of dolls, using examples from the Phansi museum’s impressive archival doll collection.
