KZNSA is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Josephine Grindrod.

Grindrod draws on art historical images of 'The Deluge' to explore the threat of climate-induced flooding to all forms of life. She combines these with the biblical myth of Noah’s Ark to think about where our hope might be put in ‘end-times’, considering the frail means of safe passage available to us within the chaos and fraughtness of contemporary life.

Grindrod’s title also references dreaming as the means whereby we are transported to more expansive realms – a necessary corrective to our overwhelmingly concrete world. Her body of work comprises paintings and collages on canvas and paper.
