Twelve encapsulates the grouping of twelve stylistically diverse artists who have risen to the challenge of the Professional Practice Course offered by the KZNSA. This impressive body of work is the culmination of the practical component of this interactive three-month course, developed for those committed to a career in the arts and engagement in the professional art market.
The twelve represented artists include painters Wendy Bowman, Bronwyn Chelius, Michelle Chelius, Anne Cleveland, Jane Digby, Maureen Edgcumbe, Hilary Grant-Currie, Ana Pereira de Vlieg, Carey Simpson, Janet Solomon, Jill Sysum and fashion designer Joel Janse van Vuuren.
Of interest is not only the visualisation of the rapid growth many artists experienced during this intensive period, but also the revelation of the formative processes that support the thinking and preparation behind the development of these works.
Please contact the Gallery if you would like to meet the artists or if you should require any further information or images.
