South African photography is enjoying unprecedented recognition both locally and internationally, it seemed timely that the KZNSA initiate the Durban Centre for Photography supported by The National Arts and Culture Trust of South Africa.

  • 14 December 2012
  • General, Exhibition Opening

It’s been ‘a never mind the weather’  kind of week but summer was in the air last night - BUZZART was in full swing with late night shopping. On offer was a family, chilled atmosphere with homemade BUZZART burgers (prepared ably by our burger kings, CEO Trevor and Gallery exhibition technician, Johan….who knew!?), and an interesting exhibition of student photography - recent work by the DCP class of 2012.

There are three components to the exhibition, 20 Limited Edition Photographic prints presenting work by each of the eleven participating photographers, a slide  slow presentation of each students work and video installation on the Arts Café wall.

Thanks to Durban for supporting this festive event!
