We are looking for people with NQF6 and higher qualifications in the fields of:
Retail and distribution administration
E-commerce administration
Graphic design
Research in visual art

Job Title: Shop Manager
Dates: 01 December 2024 – 31 March 2025
Job Description:
The KZNSA is seeking a mid-level retail and distribution manager for the KZNSA
Shop.
Responsibilities:
Manage shop stock in inventory software
Manage orders of artisanal ranges placed by international buyers
Oversee all sales, invoicing and payment on orders
Manage distribution – packing, shipping, insurance and customs as required
Maintain close working relationships with local designers and makers
Requirements:
Minimum of an NQF Level 6 qualification in a relevant retail, sales, marketing or
management field. At least 5 years’ experience working in this role.

The KZNSA is seeking a mid-level e-commerce manager for the KZNSA’s online

Responsibilities:
Upload new ranges to e-commerce site and maintain housekeeping
Manage stock controls of art and artisanal product with the Shop manager
and Gallery administrator
Improve the site’s SEO performance
Track online orders and manage distribution – packing, shipping, insurance
and customs as required
Requirements:
Minimum of an NQF Level 6 qualification in a relevant e-commerce or sales and
marketing field. At least 5 years’ experience working in this role.

The KZNSA is seeking a mid-level graphic designer to work on the visual identity of
the KZNSA organization, and communication elements for the gallery, shop and Arts
café.
Responsibilities:
Develop holistic visual identity for the organisation
Create graphic elements for communication campaigns of the gallery, shop
and cafe.
Create exhibition catalogues for the gallery
Create graphic elements for product packaging and instore communication
Requirements:
Minimum of an NQF Level 6 qualification in a design field. At least 5 years’
experience working in this role.

Job Title: Practice-Based Research Internship Opportunity x2
Dates: 01 December 2024 – 31 March 2025
Job Description:
The KZNSA is seeking two interns to support the development of a practice-based
research project and research program. Working closely with a senior researcher,
the intern will gain hands-on experience in research development, writing funding
proposals, exhibition essays and accompanying text, and supporting the growth of
practice-based research capacity at the KZNSA.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the senior researcher on all stages of project development
Conduct research to inform a funding proposal, exhibition essay, and other
exhibition texts
Contribute to the planning and execution of the practice-based research
exhibition
Assist in building research capacity within the KZNSA through practice-based
research methodologies
Requirements:
Minimum of an NQF Level 6 qualification in a relevant arts-related field (including
Visual Communication Design, Graphic Design, Video Technology, Fine Art,
Photography and Performance art)
