Exhibition Opening: Not For Sale

Date

The KZNSA Gallery is proud to present Not For Sale, opening in our Park Gallery. Curated by The Dealr, this exhibition is a provocation that challenges how we perceive value, ownership, and experience within the gallery space.

The phrase Not For Sale is familiar as a command — firm, non‑negotiable, and absolute. Yet, when brought into the context of art, it unsettles the viewer’s gaze. It asks us to look beyond price tags and market value, to consider worth in new ways. At times, it sparks curiosity: questions about cost, about desirability, and about how meaning shifts when commerce enters the conversation.

The irony of this exhibition lies in its curation by The Dealr, a company built on sale relations. Here, the phrase flips back on itself: the works are indeed for sale, but only after they have been experienced, contemplated, and valued beyond their monetary worth. The exhibition invites audiences to linger, to admire, and to reflect before considering ownership.

Featuring artists Sichumile Adam, Jason Langa, Lona Ndzimande, Sagwadi Mohlabi, Muofhe Manavhela, Kamva Matuis, and Mukhethwa Mukinindi, Not For Sale is both playful and serious in its interrogation of art, commerce, and meaning.

Join us at the KZNSA Gallery Park Gallery to experience this thought‑provoking exhibition.
