Please join us on Saturday, 27 August 2022, 11h00 for a walkabout of Time In Space & Time In Memory – An Introspection, a solo exhibition by Robin Moodley.

Moodley is a Durban-based artist who trained in fine art at the University of Durban Westville (UDW), beginning in 1979. A decade of various interruptions to his studies followed, culminating in Moodley having to leave UDW due to his political activism. He applied for special permission to complete his final year majoring in painting and drawing at Natal Technikon in 1987 and 1988.

His first exhibition after graduating was a two-person show with Jenny Parsons at the then Natal Society for the Arts Gallery in Overport City in 1989. Moodley comes full circle with his solo presentation now on view at KZNSA. The monumental body of work explores land and identity, dealing with disenfranchisement, marginalisation, colonisation, and understanding what decolonisation means.
