Clay is a medium that is tactile in all its forms, mud, clay and the final bisque and glazed piece. The maker enjoys it at the various stages. From a clump of earth to the ultimate piece of intrique or beauty. For the end user it is the pleasurable moment of holding and maybe owning it. To possess it would be the ultimate gift to yourself.

This year we are delighted to have DUT sharing the exhibition space with us. Students being the lifeblood of the ceramic journey and the promise of a new wave of creative youthful ideas.

Our mission as the Ceramic Association of Southern Africa KZN is for our members to grow and develop as ceramicists. We aim to provide a platform encouraging our members to explore their creative expression through clay and learning by means of diverse workshops throughout the year. This exhibition aims to highlight the journey and celebrate the work of all the various artists.
