Traces looks at what remains, fades, or lasts over time. It asks artists to work with ideas of memory, residue, and mark‑making, exploring the balance between presence and absence. Artists were invited to create responses that consider erosion, build‑up, and material memory, asking how the marks we leave behind shape both shared and personal histories? Some works draw on archives, take shape through drawing, printmaking, photography, video, sculpture and painting. By engaging with traces both physical and intangible, artists explore how time leaves its mark on materials, spaces, and lived experience, and how those marks continue to speak in the present.
