The use of vibrant colour, dots and line to create amusing scenarios and surreal perspective is common to all three artists. Truter’s work is luminescent, playful and burlesque, Duma uses bold flat colour and dots to create depth for his animated traditional characters and Nxumalo’s fantasy cities, interiors and landscapes are painstakingly rendered with line and dazzling colour blocks.
