Established in the late 1980s to retail the work of local crafters, the KZNSA shop procures and sources consignment work of locally based independents, small and medium-sized enterprises, designers, crafters and artists. The shop currently represents the work of over 300 local crafters, designers and small creative businesses. In response to the national lockdown in 2020 and no visitors to our complex, KZNSA shop launched an e-commerce site that now has an international following.

BUZZART, KZN’s biggest local festive fair
Towards the end of the year, the KZNSA shop takes over the entire gallery, filling it with unique local art, homeware, textiles, fashion and accessories, jewellery, local art books, stationery and cosmetics, together with an impressive range of Christmas décor and stocking fillers. 90% of these ranges are produced in KwaZulu-Natal by independent makers. BUZZART sales put over a million rand back into the local creative economy each year.
